How custom tile matching works
Renovations and heritage work often need a tile that is no longer made. Matching one is a practical process, not a guess.
What we need from you
A physical sample is ideal — even a broken piece. Failing that, clear photographs in daylight with a ruler for scale, plus the dimensions, thickness and where the tile is used.
Matching and sampling
We first look for a current tile that matches closely enough, which is faster and cheaper. If nothing matches, a custom run can be produced and a sample sent for approval before the full order.
Quantities and lead times
Custom production needs a minimum quantity and a longer lead time than stock tiles. Build that into your program early — it is the part that most often delays a renovation.
Getting started
Send photos and measurements through the custom enquiry form and we will tell you honestly whether matching, substituting or a custom run is the sensible route.
